Groundbreaking at the Waterfront

February 24, 2014

The team behind the much-anticipated redevelopment of D.C.’s Southwest Waterfront has a private equity partner in place, setting up an imminent groundbreaking and three and a half years of construction. Nearly a decade in the making, Hoffman-Madison Waterfront LLC is a step away from making The Wharf, a 26-acre overhaul of the Southwest Waterfront, a reality. According to legislation submitted with the D.C. Council by Mayor Vincent Gray to amend the land disposition agreement first approved in 2008, Hoffman-Madison has landed $270.3 million in private equity for the project. (WBJ)
