NoMa Film Fest

May 9, 2014

Look around you. Feel that? It’s summer, gently reminding you that it still exists, despite winter wanting to be forever. It’s not here yet, though, but it’s coming. And with it, one of D.C.’s new summer traditions: outdoor film series.

Today, the NoMa BID has unveiled the lineup for its popular Summer Screen outdoor series. This year’s theme, “Unlikely Friendships,” will kick off on May 28 with a screening of Back To The Future, the classic film about the unlikely friendship between a teen, an old, crazy doctor, and 1.21 gigawatts. Here’s the full lineup for this year’s series:

May 28: Back to the Future

June 4: Silver Linings Playbook

June 11: Midnight in Paris

June 18: Up

June 25: When Harry Met Sally

July 2: Clueless

July 9: The Muppets

July 16: The Perks of Being a Wallflower

July 23: The Dark Knight

July 30: Pitch Perfect

August 6: Top Gun

August 13: The Sandlot

August 20: Rain date (not a film)

Per usual, the movies will screen at the field at Second and L Streets, NE. All screenings are free and start when it gets dark. You can bring coolers, (leashed) dogs, blankets, frisbees, children, etc., and their will be different food trucks at each screening.
